Call for Workshops and Papers

Guidelines for Presentations

You are invited to submit proposals for elective sessions at the AWE 2010 conference . There are three different modes of presentation - papers, workshops and roundtables. Details of these are given below.

Papers
Papers should address one or more of the conference themes/foci. A one hour timeslot will be available - 45 minutes for the paper presentation and 15 minutes for questions and discussion. It is most important to adhere to these time limits particularly to allow time for discussion. A copy of the paper should be emailed to Desrae Senior at awe1@bigpond.net.au. Paper should be no more than 3500 words, printed in 12 point type, ideally Times New Roman.
Please indicate if you wish to have your paper refereed. |
Workshops
Workshops should address one or more of the conference themes/foci. Workshops may be up to 60 minutes. The number of participants in a workshop will be limited to 25 people to enable effective interaction. Workshop presenters are asked to provide a brief description of the process and content of the workshop. (You may request a 2 hour timeslot) |
Roundtables
Roundtable will provide opportunities for people interested in exchanging ideas around particular themes or topics. The person proposing each roundtable will be expected to initiate discussion by raising key concerns or issues although a formal presentation is not necessary. A one hour timeslot will be available for a roundtable. |
Panels
It is anticipated at the end of each day to hold a panel discussion. Some presenters will be invited to participate in panel discussions. Details to be advised. |
